Hi,

I am Stephan Meinl -  songwriter, producer, guitarist and trombone player living in Wiesbaden, Germany.

I work as a self employed IT-consultant and I am no professional musician, but I spend lots of time playing guitar and piano, composing and recording my own music.
I was born in 1960, got my first guitar at the age of 10, the first piano lessons at the age of 30 and the first trombone some years later. Since then I worked continuously on a repertoire of classical music and jazz and in 2016 started producing my own albums.

Besides face-to-face classes on piano and trombone I discovered most of my musical knowledge from online lessons.
Since 2019 I am a member of Guy Michelmore’s ThinkspaceEducation (composing and arrangement) and Jonny May’s PianoWithJonny (piano lessons) and really enjoy Jason Zachariah’s phantastic piano and music theory lessons on YouTube.
In 2023 I attended a half-year professional coaching for music production, composition and songwriting by Thom Wettstein and his team.

For several years I have been a member of a local big band where I played second trombone and with a part of the big band we were also performing gigs as a combo playing popular chart hits and oldies. -
